2010 Camp Dates July 5-7 CIT Orientation
Register online above, or print out a paper application by clicking here Map to Pioneer Trails Camp, the home of Camp Bold Eagle This specialized camp for children with hereditary bleeding disorders serves boys and girls ages 6 through 13. Camp Bold Eagle is located on the shores of Big Blue Lake in Holton, Michigan. Campers return year after year to catch up with old friends and meet others with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Camp Bold Eagle offers a variety of camp activities, including archery, arts & crafts, fishing, swimming, boating, nature exploration, and bleeding disorders education. Campers are encouraged to learn to self infuse their own factor while at camp, earning them a coveted "Butterfly Award." Over 50 dedicated volunteers, including people with hemophilia, medical professionals, and University of Michigan Medical School students commit endless hours to ensure the success of Camp Bold Eagle year after year. Former campers ages 16 and 17 are invited to join the C.I.T. program
as a stepping stone to prepare for a full staff position. A special
program has been developed which emphasizes communication and
leadership skills. C.I.T. training takes place at Pioneer Trails Camp preceding the regular staff orientation and the Camp Bold Eagle sessions.

Eagle Expedition is HFM's newest camping program for young adults aged 16-24 who reside in Michigan, Indiana or Ohio. This week-long adventure to the Trinity Mountains of Northern California will feature activities such as white water rafting, rock climbing, ocean fishing and sleeping under the stars. For the third summer, this program will be funded by the generous support of Cascade Hemophilia Consortium in honor of Andy Voegtle. It honors his visionary leadership and his monumental contributions to the bleeding disorders community. The objective is to work with young adults in the bleeding disorders community to further develop their leadership qualities while providing a memorable experience they will carry with them for the rest of their life. To apply, young adults need to fill out an application form as well as provide a written recommendation to the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan by May 28, 2010.
