At HFM we recognize the importance of networking and support. It can sometimes be a comfort to know there are others out there experiencing similar feelings and circumstances. It's also a great way to share information and advice with others. Networking opportunities through area HTCs! Mom's, Dad's and Parents Night Out are a wonderful opportunity for mom's and dad's to meet and network with other parent's of children with bleeding disorders. Medical staff from the area hemophilia clinics participate and provide excellent information and educational materials. All parents from across Michigan are welcome. The meal and group are free of charge to a parent or supportive family member. So save the dates! Parent's Night Out - Detroit Children's Hospital: All dinner meetings run 6:00 - 9:30 at various restaurants in the tri-county area. Dinners will resume in the fall. Parents Night Out - Chelsea:

Networking opportunities funded through HFM! Parents Night Out - Grand Rapids: This group meets two times per year at Pietros Restaurant in Grand Rapids at no cost to families. FIRST STEP NEW PARENT DINNERS: These educational dinner opportunities are for parents of newly diagnosed children (aged 5 and under). Each dinner includes a topic of interest to new parents such as Finding Appropriate Childcare, Successful ER Visits, or Effects of Bleeding Disorders on the Family. The dinners are facilitated by HTC and HFM social workers as well as an experienced parent. The dinners will resume in September and run throughout the fall in different areas of the state.
