The Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan (HFM) is proud to present Derby for Dreams
charity fundraiser.
This new event promises to be an
afternoon of food, drink, entertainment, roulette, horse wheels, 50/50 raffle and
prizes.
Net proceeds of this event support HFM's programs
and services for those in the bleeding disorders community.
How Derby
for Dreams Works:
For the price of admission,
you will receive chips good toward placing bets on your favorite horse on the
wheel. Winners in each race will be
entered into a drawing for prizes at the end of the afternoon.
Looking for more
fun? Take a chance on roulette to win tickets
for some fantastic prizes. Adopt-a-Derby-Duck
for a buck! Decorate and race your Derby
Duck in the DUCKHILL DOWNS pond. If your
duck wins, so do you. Winners receive
tickets for prizes.
BONUS: The 134th
running of the Kentucky Derby will be shown LIVE on the big screen in the Fox
Classic Clubhouse at Fox Hills. If you
hold the ticket with the winning Kentucky Derby horse, you are eligible to win a
special Run for the Roses prize!
Ladies, don’t forget to
wear your favorite Derby Hat. Does a Derby hat improve one’s
luck at picking a winner? Some say, “YES
it certainly helps!”
Mint Juleps will be
served capturing the mood and spirit of the famous Churchill Downs track while
making you feel your are part of the “Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.” This fun-filled event takes place on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Fox Hills Golf and Conference Center in Plymouth, Michigan. The price of admission, $25 each/$40 couple includes: a southern style buffet, Derby for Dreams keepsake, betting chips, 1 drink ticket, and an official 2008 Kentucky Derby frosted cup.
