Online Membership Form Membership Appeal The Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan is now in its fifth decade of providing myriad services to members of our bleeding disorder community. Our organization is known throughout the nation and the world for its exemplary work to improve and prolong the lives of people with hereditary bleeding disorders and related conditions. HFM, as a regional core center, is the backbone of a system of nineteen federally funded treatment centers throughout Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. HFM is the administrator of federal funding to our treatment centers; the lifeblood of our centers. In this unique role as the hub for our regions HTCs (Hemophilia Treatment Centers), HFM also has a unique opportunity to coordinate and disseminate information for the benefit of people with bleeding disorders and to advocate at state and national levels for the best interests of our community. HFM demonstrates an incredible ability to draw together our diverse and dispersed community through a variety of support services that are our treatment centers are unable to provide. Our camp program for children, ages 6 15 is our largest, and longest running program that provides education and opportunities to develop and maintain lifelong friendships and support among those with bleeding disorders. Bold Eagle and Eagle Outpost encourage and provide occasions to give back to the community by working as camp staff, joining the board of directors or volunteering at other events sponsored by HFM. We also provide educational, social, emotional and financial support for our community through our programs including SpringFest, support groups, retreats, community dinners, medical information and referral, scholarships and emergency financial assistance, among many other services. This simple and small financial commitment (less than 67 cents a week) from each and every person on our mailing list and others who access our materials via treatment centers or website will ensure the future of our mission at the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan, even in current and future national economic crises. If everyone gives back just a little, we will all reap the amazing and bountiful benefits of an organization that intimately understands the needs of the bleeding disorder community and ensure these services for future generations until a cure can be found.
